The Edinburgh International Curling Championship has joined the WCT - Europe tour and I take great pleasure in inviting you to consider competing against some of the top European teams.

Event
24 teams will contest the competition and will be split into 4 sections of 6 teams. If we are oversubscribed, the first 8 teams to enter will be put in the draw, the remaining 16 teams will be selected by the committee.  The top two from each section will qualify for quarter-final places. Positions will be determined on points won. No team can go out of the competition without playing at least a two-end tie-break game. The top qualifier from each section will have the choice of last stone in the quarter finals.

Prizes
The overall winning team will receive £4000; the runner up team will receive £2000; losing semi-finalist teams will each receive £1000 and the losing quarter-finalist teams will receive £500.

Entry Fee and Accommodation
The entry fee and four nights accommodation at The Braid Hills Hotel (one of our main sponsors), arriving on Thursday and departing on Monday for a team of four overseas players is £900.  This includes transport to and from the airport, and the use of a shuttle bus between the hotel and the ice rink each day.

The entry fee for local teams is £260.  Bed and breakfast rates per night at the Braid Hills hotel are £40.00 per person sharing a twin and £60.00 per person in a single room.

£100 deposit is payable when entering the competition.  No entry will be considered firm unless accompanied by a cheque for £100.  The remaining entry fee and accommodation charges will be payable on receipt of the draw.
